A Walk in Long Shadows

An evening walk around the old Sunday School area at Castle Douglas. The evening light was beautiful and I loved the way the long shadows threw patterns across the fields. I have added three PiPs from along the way.

This is my kind of scenery, but I think you would need to have a heart of stone not to smile at the beauty , peace and tranquility of the landscape.

I have added a Fleetwood Mac song called 'Heart of Stone' as a tribute to the hugely talented Christine McVie. RIP Songbird

Thank you Roger. I was shocked and saddened when I saw the news on my newsfeed yesterday morning. You are right. She was so talented and will be badly missed, not only by those closest to her but by people the world over, many of whom have grown up with the music of Fleetwood Mac, and of course a lot of the songs were written by Christine so her legacy will live on

Aah Caroline - a great track. You know I nearly put 'Sleeping Around the Corner' on because we were literally staying around the corner! Whichever track I had chosen would not have felt like enough of a tribute. The world lost a great singer and songer in Christine this week.
