The safety fence couldn't hold this truck!!

HFF!
It would appear that the sequence of events is this:
1) Something in front of the orange truck slowed down suddenly.
2) The driver of the orange truck braked hard, and steered toward the hard shoulder to avoid a collision. (Note this truck is very lightly loaded, and can therefore stop easily)
3). The red truck, being an artic fully loaded with roadstone. could not stop in such a short distance, and hit the rear of the orange truck pushing it through the barrier.

Your visit in much appreciated. Thank you!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
Unfortunately, I know nothing of the aftermath and outcomes of this, but I am sure there is a lesson or two to be learned!
Best Wishes, (slightly late) HFF, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Thank you so much for the explanation of this fascinating picture! Right away I was curious what I was looking at. Then I could see it was a crash. Then I read your text and studied the picture at full size to inspect all the details. WOW! Great angle to show the trucks. It's too bad there was an accident, and I hope nobody was hurt.
Thank you for the presentation, I felt like I was there!
it' s really a great photo. There are often crashes in Germany and this is unfortunately a picture often seen. And ... there are many details here to see - especially the sunflowers. HFF (belated), wish you a nice sunday !
Greetings from Germany
Percy
Thank you so much for your visit, and taking the time to look and consider it. Unfortunately this took a while to clear, and hence I had plenty of time to record the scene.
Sorry for a late response, I have been away. More pictures will follow to show that adventure.
Best Wishes
Peter
Thank you so much. I am glad you have enjoyed the photography. What did impress me was the very efficient way that this was dealt with, and the way the motorists in the tailback followed their orders, and left the way clear for the emergency response vehicles.
Sorry for a late response, I have been away, but not Germany this time!
Best Wishes
Peter
