Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubThank you so much, and yes you are right, at 99 metres it is the highest. I had been here a couple of years earlier, but the weather was miserable (as were the photos), so I was glad of a chance of a repeat visit.
Best Wishes

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to LotharW clubI am pleased that you like it. Thank you.
Trains were quite frequent over this bridge, maybe every 15 minutes, so I didn't have to wait long!

such a brilliant shot! both in vertiginous vertical perspective and wide and inclusive depth that allows us to enjoy widely the landscape below.
and jus at the moment the train begins its journey on the viaduct. perfect in every detail.
Great overall harmony.
In other words ... a magic moment.
Best wishes

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Beatrice Degan(MARS)Thank you so much!! Your well considered words have made me very happy!!!
I had passed here a couple of years back (same trip as when I went to see Heidi), and the weather was miserable. This day I had weather, and time to think about it. Pity there was nobody around to lean on the fence just to complete the scale..

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Ecobird clubThank you so much!! I am so pleased that you are impressed! The Swiss railway engineers certainly know how to get their railways through the mountains!
Of course, railways are an important part of Swiss transport strategy, unlike England (who don't seem to have a strategy!)

Wow! I'm not sure I could travel on that line!! It makes a great picture though!
Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneThank you so much!! Such a little river, and a very steep valley, yet there are two railway bridges over it, which I photographed from the same place.
