Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteAs I remember, I had to do a bit of climbing to get this view.. Unfortunately the path to the beach was closed. That would have been nice!

Leider gab es keine schönen Prinzessinnen mit langen blonden Haaren, die darauf warteten, gerettet zu werden.

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Ecobird clubThank you so much for your very thoughtful visit. I am pleased that you like the idea of some beautiful young golden haired princess waiting to be rescued....
Yes, not a drop of rain fell while I was in Northern Ireland!

I have heard of it but can't place it. Where is it, please!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Sarah O' clubI am so pleased that you have enjoyed this. I know that castles like this just don't exist in America. Generally they were built in places where it was easy to defend the site against invaders, so cliff tops were a good choice!
Best Wishes for your weekend

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to DanielleMerci beaucoup!
Malheureusement, il n'y avait pas de belles princesses aux longs cheveux blonds qui attendaient d'être secourues.
Meilleurs voeux

Like this terrific capture but what a fortress this must have been,
great vantage point by the way.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubThank you so much for your appreciation. A bit of initiative needed to get to a suitable point for the photo, and I am sure that with different light a more dramatic result... Perhaps like the old days with a gale blowing off the sea, and soldiers ready to repel invaders...
Best Wishes, and a good weekend
Peter
It was a nice surprise for me! Such a beautiful picture you have captured!

What a terrific overview and great position for a castle!! Beautifully captured.
Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneIt is a shame the footpath down to the beach was closed. It would have looked very imposing from down there!
Best wishes
Peter

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Herb Riddle clubThank you so much. Sorry, I had missed this visit, don't know why...
I am pleased that you like the picture.Down to the beach would have been nice too, but it was not possible. If I were able to stay longer, I could have tried some more possibilities in different light, but as always with holidays, time was short!
Of course you are right about the lens too!
Best Wishes
Peter
