Thank you Carol,

I do have a few more from the day that will appear eventually, including some very colourful ones. Unfortunately the event was not as spectacular as you might initially believe from the title, and it wasn't a 'free for all' when anyone can bring a kite and fly it. Still, I got a few pictures.

Now it is not the middle of winter, but a bright summer day, and the owl is up in the sky flying freely and happily! I wonder what he can see down in the field..
