Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteYour visit is most welcome. As you will probably remember from Pano, I had a whole stack of photos from this spot with different locos and different times of year. There are so many possibilities just by moving a few metres, and Cnicht is always there!
Best Wishes and a good week ahead
Peter
PS, did you spot the three geese in the sky?
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubI am pleased you have enjoyed it.

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubCertainly one of my favourite places for photographing the Welsh Highland Railway. I think it is always nice if we can get Cnicht in somewhere too!
Best Wishes and a good week ahead

What a gorgeous scene! A magnificent backdrop in the slight mist! I could see this as a railway poster.
Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneI really appreciate your visits and wonderful praise! I am glad you think it worthy of poster status! A few years ago the railway did use a (specially posed) picture taken from the opposite side of the track and a little further up the valley, again with Cnicht as the backdrop.
Having done railway promotional material before (see www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/43998458 and www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/43998456 ) they are very particular where they are taken from, for a numbe rof reasons).
Regardless, I am very happy that you like it!!
Best Wishes and a good week ahead

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to gezginruh clubThank you so much for your visit and these beautiful words. We had come to this exact spot on your first visit to Wales (twice!) and many times since. While this picture is maybe nice, the hyperlinked on above is special too!!! Then we can think about the conquering of Cnicht.. www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/43786300 That is something that will never be forgotten!!!!!!

Andy Rodker club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubI would love to re-discover the Hills of Snowdonia. Very unlikely now - a long way from Madrid (and from Cornwall, come to think of it!).
Best wishes,
Andy
my congratulations on this fine image
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubI've been up a large number of times, then walk around past the abandoned slate mine www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/44029656 and down the other side of the valley.
I must dig out some more photos..
Best Wishes
Peter
