Hi Andy,

Thank you so much for your visit and very keen observation. Of course, by your deductions, you would have to include a fourth place, home! (to download and process the pictures).
We know the camera never lies, but when the camera says nothing, the web site puts in todays date by default. The truth is that it was in Obertraun, Austria, last summer!

My dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for visiting! This was a nice surprise which I found on a walk high up in the mountains. I took around a dozen pictures of this guy chasing the female. Maybe they went back to their love nest... MMMMMM!

I am glad you enjoyed it. This was the only time I've ever seen a ptarmigan, so I guess i was lucky to be so close, and that he was so engrossed in chasing the lady to notice!
