Thank you so much for visiting! This was a nice surprise which I found on a walk high up in the mountains. I took around a dozen pictures of this guy chasing the female. Maybe they went back to their love nest... MMMMMM!

I am glad you enjoyed it. This was the only time I've ever seen a ptarmigan, so I guess i was lucky to be so close, and that he was so engrossed in chasing the lady to notice!
