Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you so much for your interest here. Obviously your mechanical knowledge of German machinery covers not only BMW, but Daimler-Benz too!
Fortunately, in this case, I had a photo of the information sheet too. It is a Daimler-Benz DB 603A, which came from a Dornier Do217m shot down during an attempted attack of London on the night of 21-22 January 1944. The rest of the aircraft was "smashed beyond recognition".
A search of the museum web site did not come up with it.
So, if you have the workshop manual for it collecting dust at the back of your shed, and fancy rebuilding it..... Well, perhaps not in this case!
