From Carn Brae to Carn Marth, near Redruth. Between 300 and 150 years ago this was one of the most industrialized places on the Planet. You wouldn't know it now! (Although one old chimney-stack is still just visible in the valley to the right).

Indeed it is so worldwide and you are talking about countries with even a modicum of conscience, Steve. So many places haven't got even this and the whole thing terrifies me!

Right, I would never imagine the scene being industrial. Now, it's heaps and layers of all imaginable flora, with lots of rabbits and who knows what else beneath. It looks very much like the cooler, northern section of the US Pacific coast, I can smell it! Well, I love this scene, Andy.

I hope you are well, we don't seem to have 'spoken' for a while!
My parents live just over the skyline there and even closer to the arsenic-scarred landscape I describe. But elsewhere, it is idyllic and very little sign of the mining now exists apart from some (now) atractive-looking chimneys.
