Thank you, Isabel. Fortunately, the 'mess' is all inside the grounds of the stadium so there has been no disruption on the streets.

Can't say I like it, but there again I don't like anything with a modern look.

The style of the football ground, and what you still see here, is very much early 20th century with more recent touches from the 70s and 80s. The new look will be an altogether different affair, all shiny metal.
I don't like what I've seen of the plans at all!

Lo recuerdo, varias fotos porque antes pasabas por allí. También a mí me parece que el avance va en consonancia con la vacunación. Para jugar sin público, como ahora es obligado no importa el retraso. Veremos en setiembre como están las cosas, la obra y la epidemia. Andy, esas dos moles cilíndricas supongo que son bajadas con rampas en espiral para salida del público. Pero, las tres más pequeñas y solo a media altura, ¿Qué serán?

The central 'cylinder' of which there are four, one on each corner, have been spectator walkways for decades. I don't know if they will be retained. The one under the blue wrapping is part of the construction to put up a new roof. The smaller ones? They have also been there since the beginning and I don't know what they are for; perhaps for display only? I'm sure Mr Florentino Perez won't be happy with you for comparing his wonderful scheme with the roll out of the vaccine nationally!!!!

Well, none of the intended results are yet on display!! All that can be seen is the old stadium still, and some new roof struts being slowly put in place! I've been following progress for nearly 2 years now, and there doesn't seem to be any!

This shot shows what will be destroyed soon or hidden form public gaze. The plans I've seen show a metal pudding bowl upside down. Ghastly!

I especially like the perspective and how the yellow and the blue create tension with th grey. A very harmonious composition.
