But then came the thieves,
Who wanted my blood
I heard the whirring ...

I beat around me

...
But hardly again in light sleep

We northern Europeans always get this wrong. it is counter-intuitive for us to close windows in the heat! Here, in Madrid I have learnt to open them first thing in the morning when the air is at its coolest and to close them by mid-morning at the latest . Otherwise all you do is let the warm air in! It took me a few years to get the habit right!!!

Thank you, Laura. This was in 2013 and I can't remember what I did but I would have made use of a few of the editing options in Picasa 3, which I used considerably more then than now! On the other hand the sunrises I saw were often spectacular. I never saw sunsets funnily enough!
