My picnic table in summer. Sierra de La Cabrera

I have posted this granite oddity before - in a foggy December setting. This was taken in the heat of an August day but the breeze you can get on the ridge here takes the edge off the stifling heat down below.

Well, it might be difficult getting it there and still be cool but I have done it before (Mont Ventoux on foot from the valley of the Toulourenc, direct - I was fit in 1977!), so I am confident it could be achieved! - lots of packs of ice in the rucksack!

I know what you mean, Peter. I was born in Chesterfield, had (still have) family in Bakewell, Used to rock climb on the famous edges with the uni mountaineering club - but haven't been there for at least 15 years. Yes, you're right - it has certain similarities!
