HFF! A corner of Pinner.

Pinner, Middlesex, One of the few true villages still extant in the London area. A photo from 1979 - my Pentax ME SLR and b/w film, scanned.
I came here for a job interview. I was in my last year at uni. I was early and walked around and took a few photos (I had packed my SLR with my notes for the interview for some strange reason).
I did OK at the interview, forgot all about it, went to France for a year after my finals, then got a message from my Dad that the firm in Pinner wanted to know what had happened as I had been due to start many months ago!
I had very little recollection of all this, except a few black and white photos, of which this is one.
Upshot: 35 years work in the Financial Services Industry, starting with this firm in Pinner before I finally upped sticks and came to Spain 7 years ago.
That was the short answer. The long answer is ...........

With my best compliments for a photo which goes back to 1979.
Wow. believe me or not I woudl say it was just a B&W digital one!
Please don't begin to ask me why!!;-)
Andy Rodker club has replied to Beatrice Degan(MARS)But still, I am puzzled. Why digital? This photo was taken in 1979 when digital was a concept long in the future.
And a great mono shot - taken two years after I bought my first (and actually only) SLR, a Yashica. Cost me 200.- Deutsche Mark, which was almost a months' salary for me as a garderner trainee. Should dig it out of its deep corner in the cupboard, once.
HFF Andy!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubI too couldn't afford it. It was a very welcome 18th birthday present!
Many thanks, Leon.

Erhard,
Leon,

I also wish you a successful day Andy :)

Isn't that weird.
My Canon AE1 and lenses lurk in a cupboard sadly. before that long gone are the Zenit E and a couple of others
I'd love to know where my old film cameras ended up, along with many of the photos I took back in the 1970s and 80s. I just don't remember what happened to them all. Ah well ...

Andy Rodker club has replied to Peter Castell clubUnfortunately,
1. I haven't set foot in Pinner since 2009 and am unlikely to do so in the foreseeable future and
2. my old Pentax is in my parents' house in Cornwall and I live in Madrid!

Thank you!
Good to see you here. It's been a few years since we corresponded on Pano! I never joined Flikr so my photos are here (with a few on 23hq).
All best wishes,
Andy
