... war das 1680 bis 1682 erbaute Sommerschloss der Würzburger Fürstbischöfe in Veitshöchheim, welches 1753 durch den berühmten Architekten Balthasar Neumann vergrößert wurde. Seit 1814 ist das Schloss im Besitz der Bayerischen Krone und wurde im 19. Jahrhundert von der königlichen Familie ebenfalls als Sommerschloss genutzt. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg 1918 fielen Schloss und Garten an den Freistaat Bayern, der das Schloss seit 1932 als Museum für Besichtigungen nutzt.
