Dyrfjöll


Dyrfjöll is an 1137m high extinct tertiary volcano between Héraðsflói and Borgarfjörður eystri. It's easily recognizable by its door (dyr), a huge gap in the mountain created by ice age glaciers.
Dyrfjöll ist ein 1137m hoher erloschener Vulkan zwischen Héraðsflói and Borgarfjörður eystri. Man erkennt den Berg leicht an der namengebenden Tür (dyr), einem tiefen, durch Gletscher geformten Einschnitt.
