Doorknockers at Casa Inguanez

Doorknockers at Casa Inguanez
Casa Inguanez is the palace of Malta's oldest noble family in the old Maltese capital of Mdina. The palazzo was built in the 11th century and first mentionend in 1423, Roman Melite artifacts have been unearthed in the gardens. Inguanez were the governors of Mdina for many years until the old noble families lost their influence under the Knights of St. John. To this day the Spanish Royal family have the right to live in Casa Inguanez. (See notes for larger size)
