Good Friday Procession

Holy Week is a big event in Catholic Malta. Every church has their own statues that are displayed during Holy Week and carried in processions on Good Friday, accompanied by brass bands playing funeral marches.
The main photos were taken in Rabat (Victoria) on Gozo. A catholic TV station did broadcast this!
The photos in the note are from San Lawrenz in Birgu (Vittoriosa) and Santa Marija Assunta in Mosta.

Casa Inguanez is the palace of Malta's oldest noble family in the old Maltese capital of Mdina. The palazzo was built in the 11th century and first mentionend in 1423, Roman Melite artifacts have been unearthed in the gardens. Inguanez were the governors of Mdina for many years until the old noble families lost their influence under the Knights of St. John. To this day the Spanish Royal family have the right to live in Casa Inguanez. (See notes for larger size)

The Sunday Challenge (TSC): Maximalism
Maximalism as antithesis to minimalism- more is more instead of less is more.
I can relate to that as my bookshelves groan;-)
Collage made of several single shots, then edited in 4 different ways and made into a collage again. Inset the original collage edited in an analogue Kodachrome look. Original size added as second PiP!
