NSR Hist - Stoke Carriage Works

Painters and trimmers pose for the camera.
Carr 284 on the left must be being cleaned before entering service - it looks complete, including the whitewall tyres.
Carr 271 on the right is being trimmed, and needs more coats of paint.
The unknown vehicle at the rear, is a passenger brake, similar to NSR23 (as replicated by SRR for the Knotty Coach Trust).
Total number of vehicles in the shop is not clear, but could be as many as eight.
(not my image, scanned from a book, during research for the work SRR did on NSR23, specifically the footsteps and handrails)
