Round-leaved Orchid / Amerorchis rotundifolia

One of these days, I will get a photo that I am happy with, of this beautiful little wild Orchid. Meanwhile, here is a macro that I took on June 29th at the Lowery Gardens part of Edworthy Park. This native Orchid is also known as Round-leaved Bog Orchid and Small Round-leaved Orchid. In flower in June and July. To me, each flower looks rather like a tiny angel dressed in a pink polkadot gown : ) I wonder how many Albertans are aware that we have many native, wild Orchids to enjoy.
