This Found photo was given to me by the woman who takes our left over books from our library sale.
American - but unknown kids and place. I'd say late 40s/early 50s for the time frame.

Yes, early-to-mid '50s. My mother had an outfit just like the girl on the left. It can also be seen worn by the character "Rizzo" in the movie version of "Grease". :) I remember those short pants being called peddle pushers, later capri pants. Hmmm. TMI about my knowledge of women's fashion.
