Looking Demure - Feeling Like Hell


This is one of a series of Joan (later Joanne) taken on the same day. Joanne always disliked these pictures. She came down with a bad case of mumps later that day and remembered feeling terrible during the photo session. She also always thought she looked like a chipmunk because her cheeks were already swollen.
