Baby Joanne and the Mail Carriers

Brought for ward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: MAIL CARRIERS, POST OFFICES, MAILBOXES, ETC.
In the pram, Joanne Illingworth, my husband's mother, and two unidentified mailmen.
Her father, Ernest, was a mailman, too.
Not a great photo technically, but it still has a charm of its own, I think - plus it's the only one with a mail theme I hadn't used before.
Springfield, Vermont 1923.
Joanne and her Friend

With a small slice of the Wall Street wall in the background, so it can go into "The Wall" album.
Joanne (on the left) is my husband's mom - her friend is probably Helen Beardsley.
I sent this to my second oldest son recently, to show him how much he looks like his grandmother, but both he and his wife were astonished at how much Joanne looks like Arya Stark from The Game of Thrones.

Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "Caught unawares" or "caught unaware" less colloquially. : )

My in-laws, Joanne Illingworth and Ron King, standing in the driveway of her house on Wall Street where 23 years later their three sons will stand posing with their kites. (next photo in my stream, three down in the Wall Street set.)
If you look at the next photo you can see the arrow shaped rock to the left of Joanne's elbow on the right side of Brian's head.
I don't know why I find that rock match so satisfying - but I just realized it - and I do.
Little Joanne on Wall Street, Springfield, Vermont…

Back in time again (see the preceding two photos in my stream) and this time Joanne is riding away from the Wall Street wall and toward her back garden. This driveway was between her home and her grandparents home so this photo was probably taken by one of her grandparents - Charles or Sarah (Halkard) Grimshaw.
The photo is not very good and badly faded but still has charm, I think.

This is one of a series of Joan (later Joanne) taken on the same day. Joanne always disliked these pictures. She came down with a bad case of mumps later that day and remembered feeling terrible during the photo session. She also always thought she looked like a chipmunk because her cheeks were already swollen.
I still think it's very cute.

Joan, later called Joanne, on the porch steps of her home in Springfield, Vermont. Joan is Ernest Illingworth and Ada May Grimshaw's second daughter.
For her grandson Colin's second Christmas, Joanne hunted down a furry bear on wheels for him and gave me this picture. Very sweet.
