Prato's fences (PIPs) HFF!

HFF. I wonder what the people who have to use a wheelchair, especially those who are minus feet, feel about the shoe display.

I don't blame you for wondering about that, GoSloMo, but accessibility is coming so slowly to many of our public buildings, that they are probably just glad to have the ramp. If they have a sense of humor, they might even have donated their shoes for the display ... :)

Un bellissimo contrasto tra il rosso della fioriera e il giallo ocra della parete. La fence in diagonale taglia felicemente la foto e la "snellisce".
Il centro di Prato è molto bello, peccato che l'urbanizzazione di questi ultimi decenni abbiano trasformato radicalmente questa cittadina che adesso, credo, sia seconda solo a Firenze come numero di abitanti in Toscana.

Per mia fortuna io frequento (per la verità molto occasionalmente) solo il centro di Prato che a mio parere meriterebbe di essere più conosciuto. Allo stesso tempo apprezzo molto che la gente, anche i negozianti, in generale non ha sviluppato la mentalità bottegaia che spesso uno trova a Firenze, forse proprio perchè a Prato i turisti sono pochi. Il centro di Prato ha ancora un'aria da cittadina di provincia e negli uffici pubblici uno trova ancora la cortesia e il senso di servizio che a Firenze ormai è diventato raro.
