To Mario: I tried converting in black and white but was not particularly pleased and, all in all, prefer the color version.
To Klaus: Supposedly the optical illusion has something to do with the way our synapses work, so I guess it's a good thing that they keep dancing around and don't sit long enough to get caught! :D

I agree, it does pay to notice what we are sometimes so quick to discount as "uninteresting". Light is, of course, a big part of the interest here, I think. It's the way the light reaches bits of the inner grids protecting the vents that leads our eye into the depth. Thanks for putting that into words, Dimas. I had a sense of it but could not pin point the feeling.
