A suprb image and I love the poppies Annalia, sadly they mowed all the grass in the area yesterday for the first time in ages now it resembles a stubble field, boo!

The poppies look lovely Annalia. I must admit I have enjoyed seeing the longer grass and wild flowers and of course it attracts butterflies and insects. They have just cut ours and I feel quite sad about it. HFF and have a good weekend

Thank you, Carol. I thought I was the only one who hates it when lawns get mowed down, but I seem to have found a lot of kindred souls here on Ipernity. :) The overgrown lawns in the parks and thriving vegetation everywhere was one of my favorite parts of being released from lockdown!

Sorry for the pessimistic reflections ...

I really like the juxtaposition of the clean lines on the stairs to the grasses and poppies just going every which way, and the black and white of the stairs to the green and colorful lushness of nature. Delightful.

Thank you, Laura. Seeing how plant life had thrived when given half a chance was to me perhaps one of the keenest pleasures upon emerging from strict lockdown. It did not take long for the flowers and grasses to be mowed down all over town, of course ... :( I will never understand how people can prefer patches of dried up stubble to a lawn full of colorful wild flowers.
