But when I read Nick's comment I wondered about the dangerous waters he mentioned. Then I found this article in The Guardian.

Of course you and Nick are right. The beach here is almost flat, so when the level of the tide rises. such a small increase means the water comes closer to the shore, quicker than a person can run.. Stay near the shore and everything is fine!!

In summer this is a popular tourist beach and resort. Here in winter the only people are those walking their dogs, and a handful of others... But we did find a nice cafe!
