Peter_Private_Box club has replied to LotharW clubThank you so much for your very kind visit.
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
This was my second holiday this summer.. I am still processing the pictures from the first one in Germany!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
What a fantastic place, seems private for the sunbathers there. or maybe sit back under the "dinosaur 's belly" over there in the shade. :)) you had a great POV Peter, well captured,,, a touch of purple in the corner and a massive blue sea!! Best wishes, Sarah
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Sarah O' clubThank you for visiting!
I am pleased you found it interesting, and such an imaginative analogy too.
The way down to the beach is by a path and steps sort of hidden behind the purple flowers. This was an evening shot. In the morning the beach is in the shade, and during the day the shadow of the dinosaur gets gradually smaller and smaller, until the whole beach enjoys the afternoon sun!
Of course the purple flowers are no accident...!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
GrahamH club has replied to Sarah O' clubPeter_Private_Box club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubThank you for such kind words. We must have been in about the same place to take the picture, but sadly the sun was not shining on you that day.
In fact I had walked here in the morning, and been somewhat disappointed with the pictures because the light was not so good, so when the sun came out in the evening I walked back again.
Best Wishes
Peter
Thanks for the memory jogger ~ Enjoy your Sunday ~~~ Nick
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubThank you for your visit and thoughts. I did go down onto the beach, and have some pictures from there too, but I reckoned this one to be nicer.
I guess if you live close by, you could go here on a clear winter morning and catch the sunrise through the arch.. Why not give it a go Nick?
Best Wishes
Peter

I'm happy that you had a good look!!
I had been there that morning, but I was not happy with the results (bad light), so I made a deliberate effort to come back in the evening when the sun had moved round, and the clouds gone. Erhard has a picture from almost the same place.. see above.
Best Wishes,
Peter
Best wishes .... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteYour visit is most welcome. Thank you.
On the grounds that I have never been here before, and maybe never will again on such a sunny day, I did take a lot of photos. I am pleased you found it interesting.
Best Wishes,
Peter
I never tire of seeing Durdle Door and the rest of the amazing Jurassic coast of Dorset and east Devon. The blues of the sea and sky are beautiful as is your lovely perspective and framing...nice flowers too :)
Best regards, Rosa.
