My dear Füsun,

Thank you so much! Of course you are the expert on architecture here, and I am very happy that you enjoyed the two interiors.

A church is for the people, and without the spirit of the people it just becomes stone and paint...
It is nice to share the spirit too!

Love Peter

Hello Peter a very well framed shot here from your perfectly chosen vantage point .. this interior certainly looks quite colourful perhaps to many of our churches but do note the differance between this and the rather lavish interior next door .. also that this church is devoid of people compared to next door too

Best wishes ... steve

Thank you Steve,

Your visit here is most welcome and appreciated. Following your comment, I looked again at the decoration. It is only lines and patterns. There is nothing here to suggest religion, besides the stained glass window. Not even a cross anywhere, nor any statues, paintings, etc Most important, as you say, no people either... If we didn't know what a church looked like, we would have no idea what it was.!!

Best wishes

Thank you Val

Glad you like the photography here. Personally, I can't quite come to terms with the lack of religious decorations..
