Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Andy Rodker clubGlad you like it. My idea was to match the colour of the flowers, and the sundial..
Thanks to Nick (below) for the explanation.

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubBoth for you kind comments, and for your explanation.
Of course the final part of the story is that sundials can't change the hour for 'summer time' hence during summer it is an hour slow.
It does then beg the question, "What time would a sundial show at 4pm of Christmas day?"
Best Wishes

Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneI am happy that you enjoyed the sundial. Of course the sundial is calibrated for winter time, and we add the hour for daylight saving. which I guess is why it doesn't actually say '4' (or '5') so as to avoid further confusion!
Best Wishes
Peter
