Mr Herring gull ( Larus Argentatus) takes a moment to ponder. There are a lot of tourist around on this large promenade and there is yet a chance to beg some food from them. If none available then its back to boring fish again I suppose! - Ah, here comes a prospective feeder but what is that great big box and pipe he's holding up to his eye?

Ah, I did not know that. We have heard people calling these Tommy seagull too. Not that they are a bird of affection -quite the opposite really!
