Bamburgh Lighthouse

Bamburgh Lighthouse
Set just north of Bambugh here is an unusual lighthouse. Established in 1910 and never manned. It is the most northerly land-based lighthouse in England. It was discontinued in 1975 but is still monitored and controlled by Trinity House in Harwich. We are only 20 miles from the Scotland border here. This view from the north to the south shows the Farne Islands with its own lighthouse too.
