Yes, I think Germany has had warmer and dryer weather than we in the north of England this year. It is still warmer than average here and in fact every month of this year so far has been warmer. We hope for water during the winter or we will be in trouble. In the south of England things have been worse during the hot summer but they have had a lot of rain this Autumn so far.
