The ancient ruined rock tombs of Kaunos

Herb .. most interesting pictures..it's incredible to see that this work was carried out so many years ago..the physical challenge of actually getting up there - and working for probably months / years on end... thanks for showing us this amazing history.... Cheers - David J'.

Glad you liked these David. They looked most incredible from our little boat on the reed river and were reminiscent of our trip to Petra in Jordan. As you say, how they did this was thought provoking. The skills and manpower must have been enormous -no doubt slave labour, in those days.

Wow! Such an amazing sight................and captured in fantastic detail Herb. Very nicely composed too, especially from a moving boat!

The PiPs are very good too..........a cracking close up and one giving a wider context. Nice job my friend..!!

Another set to please you Keith. It was a wonderful experience seeing these tombs and as usual I was thankful that I managed to capture it all OK from this boat full of people, all stood with there arms outstretched with phone camera's.
