No professional courtesy here

Look what the wind blew in

Comet Tsuchinshan
Moonset, sunrise, robins rapt
That hard-to-pronounce-in-English comet

Also no comet

Puddled path and its alternative

They weren't sure but their bodyguard knew

The highlight, for me, of having to be near the front door for a couple of hours on the last night of October are the visits by neighbourhood kids that I know.
I know these sisters' names, but I asked what the names were of the people they were dressed as. The one on the right didn't know and looked at her bodyguard, the guy at the left edge (uhh, their father). He said, Claudia (pronounced European-fashion, CLOUD-ee-ah).
Nice, I said. And you? to the one on the left. She too looked to the bodyguard who paused and then said, Ahh Rosalie. Nice, too, I said. (After all, I have a sister with that name.)
I was not very careful with the photography. And when other kids came, I wasn't ready at all. Oh well.
But I like this picture.
