Flicker

There are two male flickers hanging around our neighbourhood lately. Plus one female (who shows up some days with one male, some days with the other). The other male is distinguishable because he has a deformed or broken bill.
It was lightly snowing this afternoon when this one came by to eat some pumpkin seeds I had put out. The female spent the same ten minutes digging in a flower bed looking for bugs or slugs or peanuts (which get planted by the bluejays).
