Sparrow in my in-laws' backyard

My in-laws live on the edge of Conception Bay, and the bottom of their property is a quarter-acre of grass, a kind of near-savannah for a pair of these Savannah sparrows to raise a family. I walked too close to the nest and the pair did an up-and-down dance around the area to lead me away.
