Loud and low


I was on the lookout for butterflies actually, and I heard this loud noise. I looked up and saw this crossing the sky: fairly low-tech Canadian Forces. Probably out to watch for illegal fishermen, someone suggested.

I did see a Monarch butterfly earlier that day. That's a rarity on this island; they are seen almost every summer by someone or other, but I hadn't seen one in about forty years! :)
