Young starling, brazen

The young starlings are less wary of us than their parents. And today this one kept coming down to within a metre or two of us while we were sitting outside the kitchen door.
The old-fashioned word "brazen" is used for saucy children and birds like this. The young starlings are a little brazen in colour, too.
