She prefers peanuts to suet.

This is one of a regular company of three flickers we've been getting lately. I'm not sure she and the adult male are really good friends, maybe not yet. But she and a younger bird spend a lot of time together.
Lately, every morning when I get up, she is already underneath our Christmas tree outside the kitchen window. Eating peanuts.
I hardly ever see her at the suet these days -- she prefers the peanuts.
This was this morning, just as today's snow started falling.
