Dandy Long Legs

That was my first name for this bug: Dandy Long Legs. Later I heard other kids calling them Daddy Long Legs, but I always have preferred the Dandy name. Later still, when I was an adult, I heard biologist friends calling them Crane flies. Call 'em what you will.
This one is sitting on a bloom of a flower that I never knew until it appeared unbidden in a disused flowerpot last year. Lamium, it is, archangel flower or aluminum flower. Call it what you like, too.
