Le château des Montgommery


L'ancien manoir médiéval a été reconstruit dans les premières années 1600 par Gabriel II de Montgommery. Il est fils du célèbre Gabriel Ier, connu dans l’Histoire de France pour avoir tué accidentellement le roi de France Henri II, lors d’un tournoi à Paris en 1559 ! Le château avec ses imposants murs de briques et de granite et son entrée à colonnes baguées se situe au bord de la Sélune (2e PiP).
MONTGOMMERY CASTLE. The old medieval manor was rebuilt in the early 1600s by Gabriel II de Montgommery. He was the son of the famous Gabriel I, known in French history for having accidentally killed King Henri II during a tournament in Paris in 1559! The castle with its imposing brick and granite walls and ringed columned entrance stands on the river Sélune (2nd PiP).
DAS SCHLOSS DER FAMILIE MONTGOMMERY. Das ehemalige mittelalterliche Herrenhaus wurde in den frühen 1600er Jahren von Gabriel II de Montgommery wieder aufgebaut. Er war der Sohn des berühmten Gabriel I., der in der französischen Geschichte dafür bekannt ist, dass er König Henri II. bei einem Turnier in Paris im Jahr 1559 versehentlich tötete! Das Schloss mit seinen imposanten Ziegel- und Granitmauern und dem Eingang mit beringten Säulen befindet sich am Fluss Sélune (2. PiP).
