Bécherel est depuis 1989 la 1ère cité du Livre en France et la 3ième du genre créée en Europe. Une quinzaine de librairies (pour 688 habitants!) sont installés et accueillent les bibliophiles. C'est aussi une pittoresque petite ville aux ruelles médiévales où les maisons de granit du 16e, 17e et 18e siècles ont toutes conservées leur cachet.

THIS WAY TO OLD BOOKS! Since 1989, Bécherel has been the first "Book City" in France and the third of its kind in Europe. About fifteen bookshops (for 688 inhabitants!) welcome bookworms. It is also a picturesque little town with medieval streets where the granite houses from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries have all retained their character.

HIER GEHT'S ZU ALTEN BÜCHERN! Bécherel ist seit 1989 die 1. "Stadt des Buches" in Frankreich und die 3. ihrer Art, die in Europa gegründet wurde. Etwa 15 Buchhandlungen (für 688 Einwohner!) haben sich hier niedergelassen und heissen Leseratten willkommen. Es ist auch ein malerisches Städtchen mit mittelalterlichen Gassen, in denen die Granithäuser aus dem 16., 17. und 18. Jh. ihren Charakter bewahrt haben.
