Tour de France Grand Départ 2014
For those that don't know, this year's Tour de France started in Yorkshire ... yes I know, that's what I thought!

Anyway, despite being a keen cyclist I didn't make it along to the start today, but I did manage to shoot this beautifully carved tree in Harrogate a few weeks ago.

So, ooh la la, ee by gum!

that is an awesome carving... but I don't get the whole 'Yorkshire' thing... my geography ain't that great but isn't france like IN France where Yorkshire is in the U.K. or England, across the ocean??

Cool find and photo! My understanding is they added a snorkel leg to this year's tour, but I suppose someone will just chunnel their way to the yellow jersey! :-)
