Malachite details

Macro shot of a beautiful Malachite butterfly, taken in the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo, on 26 September 2011. Most unfortunately, the Zoo suffered tremendous damage in the Flood of the Century that hit Calgary and many parts of Southern Alberta from 20th May 2013 onwards. This included the Conservatory, which was under water. Not sure when the southern part of the Zoo will reopen, so we may not get the chance to see Tropical butterflies till next year.
