Treasures on a broken tree
We saw this broken tree trunk covered in a sprinkling of bright orange fungi, when six of us drove NW of Calgary for a day of botanizing on the land belonging to Sarah Leete - her home is a rather fine wood cabin, originally the Morrison House. The tree stump was the other side of the barbed-wire fence and off-limits, so I could only get this very distant shot.
