Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: ROCKS AND STONES.
My mother's school group in the Lake District heading up to the White Scar Caves (it says on the back).
Here they are fording the river on stepping stones - and in the background, stone walls as far as the eye can see.

Deborah Lundbech club has replied to Alan Mays clubThose stepping stones sure look familiar - although I guess it's a little hard to be certain that the rocks are the same ones, given the amount of streams it looks like they had to ford. And wow - have never seen anywhere in the Lake Disrtict look so parched and dry! I hear it's been a very dry, hot summer but ... wow.
you've asked for this to go in my group 'm m multiples s s' - it is a bit of a stretch since the multiples here aren't in the main part of the photo, but i'm letting it in because it is just so awesome!
I'm glad you told me of your hesitation and appreciate that. I did think the stepping stones/girls qualified but absolutely respect your eye in this. That's what admins/curators are supposed to do!
And thanks for your friending, which I'm happy to reciprocate!
