Damn, I deleted the wrong photo. Sorry, everyone. OK - here's my submission, once again, for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of SUMMER VACATION/HOLIDAY.
My husband's Aunt Pat and her mom - his paternal grandmother, Agnes. Probably in Maine, US c 1947.

Lovely scene. I wonder what she's writing..."Here I am, on a towel at a beautiful beach, the sun is shining, and no Burt Lancaster anywhere in sight; but my mother is here."
