A blooming mimosa bush in a city neighbourhood. Just a greeting to all my sisters out there on this day that celebrates our sacrifices and our contribution to a society that still too often does not afford us equal rights or equal pay.

They do have a very particular scent. Sometimes you walk around and smell them and it might take a bit of looking around before you locate the tree. But because they are among the first to bloom, sometimes it the opposite: you can see the bright yellow from far away and only get to smell them when you get close.
