I love the magnolias, we have a blooming white one in our village. This one is really wonderful in pink. HFF Annalia.

Hi, Christa. The white one could be a magnolia stellata and they are indeed beautiful, like stars fallen from the sky and caught on the branches! The one in the picture is very big and when it blooms there's always a crowd of people around it taking photos!

I have a white Magnolia stellata - not open yet but it did flower in the autumn as well as Spring last year which is unusual. HFF

Oh, they are so beautiful! And aptly named: they do look like a bunch of stars fell from the sky and got caught in the branches. I have never seen them flower in the autumn. Perhaps they were tricked by the mild weather.

Yes it does. I see people around it with their phones up in the air all the time when it blooms. Mostly people seem to go for close ups of the flowers, but I liked the idea of contrasting it against the urban setting.
